Striped Newt -  The adult Striped Newt is actually a small (6-10 cm [2.4-3.9 in]), aquatic, olive or greenish brown salamander. A pair of parallel red stripes runs down the back and ends on the tail.  The belly is yellow with black specks and the skin has a rough texture. The Striped Newt is almost totally restricted to Florida and is generally found west to Tallahassee and south to Orlando.
